External whistleblowing and consultation services

Our company and our group consider compliance to be of paramount importance in our management and promote fair and honest business activities. As part of this effort, we have established a dedicated contact point to receive reports and consultations from external parties with the aim of promptly detecting and correcting violations of laws and regulations and acts contrary to corporate ethics, and to enable our self-correcting mechanisms to function.

1. Who can use this service (eligible users)

External parties involved in our group's business activities
(Examples: Business partners, subcontractors, job seekers, individuals who have left our group company more than one year ago, etc.)

*Current employees and officers of our group, as well as those who have left the company within the past year, may also use the internal reporting hotline established in accordance with our company regulations.

2. Actions that are subject to reporting or consultation

The following acts or acts that may occur by officers or employees of our company or our group companies:

  • Acts that violate laws, ordinances, etc.
  • Actions that violate company regulations, codes of conduct, etc.
  • Other compliance violations that go against corporate ethics (harassment, fraudulent accounting, information leaks, human rights violations, etc.)

3. A response system independent of the reporting and consultation desk.

This contact point is handled directly by the "Audit and Supervisory Committee (composed solely of outside directors)," an independent body separate from the business execution departments.

Depending on the content of the report or consultation, the Audit and Supervisory Committee will verify the facts, investigate, and take other necessary actions, either on its own or in cooperation with the Internal Audit Office or other relevant departments, or with external experts such as lawyers.

Furthermore, in cases involving executive directors or other heads of business execution departments, the Audit and Supervisory Committee will handle the matter independently of the business execution department.

In conducting the investigation, we will establish an appropriate system to ensure that the person who was reported and other persons with a vested interest in the case do not become involved in the investigation.
